An early Christmas surprise for Connor, the components for this rod were picked by his Mother. Due to a tight time-table, I took the liberty of "upgrading" his rod with a custom MP grip as the "Standard" grip wouldn't have arrived in time. I also added in metallic copper trim which brings color scheme of the rod together - otherwise the Amboyna Burl Reel Seat just didn't go really well with straight blue wraps.

Things I learned while building this rod

I tried some different trim wraps, running the trim color underneath the main wrap to bring it back out for the last 3 turns. While it turned out nice, it's a but tougher to do!
