A concept I came up with months ago and finally had the time to build...without an owner in mind. The concept was a rod with as little glare as possible, ideal for bushwhacking.

Randy Cochran purchased it after giving it a test cast with 3wt. several folks have commented prior, these blanks fish extremely well when overlined one step. I was unable to photograph the "Stealth Rod" prior to sale...I've only been able to disclose the details above...photographs *may* be forthcoming if I can again sneak a peak at this Top-Secret project.

Things I learned while building this rod

EVA Grips are a bit different to work with, especially when installing as they "fit" the blank much better than cork...this translates to needing less epoxy to affix the grip (excess just bunches up at the bottom where the grip meets the reel seat).

Randy's "Stealth Rod" - pictures of the top secret project have been obtained! The Black Woven Graphite Pac Bay A7 reel seat. The custom turned black EVA Foam Grip makes for a real lightweight rod!
The hook keeper and winding check. I believe this is the topside inscription...? The second inscription; I think this one is on the bottom.
The Black Hiloy Stripper Guide. Single Foot Snake Guides in black again reduce weight and add stealth to the package. The tip top.
