Custom for Tim!

Things I learned while building this rod

An overview of the butt section on Tim's new rod. The Pacific Bay A8 Channel Lock TiCH reel seat and 2" fighting butt. The custom full wells burl cork grip I turned for Tim.
One more look at that sweet handle & seat assembly. The hookkeeper. The simple crosswrap when viewed from the side.
Viewing from an angle you see the top and the side of this diamond wrap. Tim's diamond wrap when viewed from above. I tried to keep this simple and clean - Tim wanted a more conservative rod. The inscription on the underside with the rod details.
The topside inscription - again keeping it simple. Tim opted for as much TiCH hardware as possible - this rod may see salt one day. I love the smokey look of the TiCH Pac Bay Stripper Guides. I had to incorporate the ferrule wrap with one of the running guides.
Another snake guide further up. The smaller snake guides towards the top. Finally, the tip top on Tim's rod.
