So today was another quick trip, meeting Bart &
his GF after work around 6:30. I first started by fishing the entire
lake with a Blue Popper but was unable to coax any rises.
Meanwhile, Bart had sighted several bass at north
end of the lake. A couple were even starting to bed up. Bart got
several follows on a black wolley bugger type, but no takers. Meanwhile
they were also floating waxworms and got a few bluegills.
I wasn't interested in the smaller fish, I wanted
the larger bass so I switched up to a Whitlock's Hare Sculpin in
Black. I got several nips that didn't set, but managed one hookup...got
it about 2 feet away from shore where it shook loose, doing it's
own C & R.
Well, that pretty much sums it up! This weekend
is going to be a BLAST - Bass, Trout, we got it all planned!
